The Franklin University Project

Back in 2008, I was attending Franklin University finishing up my Information Technology degree. The final requirement was to complete an interdisciplinary I.T. project as a team, ideally for the benefit of a non-profit. Typically I.T. capstone projects involved web and database because they require no external resources. However, since my job afforded me access to equipment, our team focused on a networking-centric project for the local chapter of the American Red Cross.

New feature: Attachments

I've added a quick feature to articles and projects to support attaching files. It currently only supports .txt and .pdf files, but it's easy to add more file-types in the future. Attachments will automatically be listed below the article and can be directly linked from the article if the Full HTML text filter is used.

Founder's Corner - Getting started

So how did this all begin?

At a personal level, my interest in emergency communications has been around for a long time since my earliest involvement in amateur radio, but it was Hurricane Katrina that brought it all back up to the surface.
